Fennel seeds, correctly defined achenes, have a composition that is particularly rich in essential oils, the most important active principles of which are limonene, flavonoids, dipentene, anisic keton and others. The cranberry and in particular its leaves, have important beneficial properties, among which the ability to protect the cardio-circulatory system stands out.
Cranberry remains an optimal remedy against diarrhea, but also against constipation and, within laxative supplements, corrects intestinal atony that may result from the use of such preparations. Lactobacillus acidophilus is a Gram-positive bacterium that collects numerous beneficial effects for the human organism. It contains ten billion live bacteria for each gram, with excellent protective effects on the intestinal bacterial flora, where some infectious processes of allergenic origin accumulate.
Chamomile is a plant commonly used in the herbal field for its high antispasmodic qualities. It is also used as an adjuvant to sedate some painful manifestations such as intestinal colic.
Anise seeds have been used for centuries as a digestive remedy; It has the power to inhibit the fermentation processes that originate in the intestine and significantly reduces the appearance of vomiting, nausea and meteorism. Combined with fennel, it is able to tangibly enhance its action; finally, the antispastic action justifies its use in cases of dyspepsia and meteorism.
Valerian is an official plant of the more than recognized calming and sedative properties. Valerian also acts as an antispasmodic in case of gastric pain or due to intestinal cramps.
Vegetable carbon is derived from the calcination of birch wood, poplar wood and other tree species whose wood is considered light type; and it works by absorbing gases produced in excess by the intestine, being useful when used as an antidiarrheal.
Mullein and Fucus, rich in mucilages that act in different ways, both are aimed at detoxifying the body with particular reference to the intestinal tract. Fucus has the ability to precipitate toxic substances and heavy metals present in the intestine, while Verbasco concentrates its anti-inflammatory and emollient action on the colon.
