Water, alcohol, Lavender (Lavandula officinalis Chaix.) Flowers 20%, honey.
Lavender, an old medicinal plant that reached Italy as early as the 11th century, through the Alps.
The substances contained such as essential oils, linalcohol, linylacetate, borneol, cineol, camphor, sesquiterpene and various coumarin compounds, together with tannic acids and saponins have a calming, relaxing, antispastic, antiseptic and antitachycardic effect. For this reason, lavender normally helps very well and quickly in bronchial asthma, neurovegetative dystonia, insomnia, nervousness, fatigue. Besides calming, it disinfects the entire body and is considered a mild sedative.
Among its constituents, some monoterpenic alcohols present in essential oil (linaiól, linalylacetate, geraniól, borneol, cineol, etc.) endowed with spasmolytic and sedative activity are of particular importance; while diterpenes and triterpenes (oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, ...) develop cholecystokinetic activity.
